Black Dragons Studios is currently working on the network functions of the Curling game. This means that the beta released at the end of 2010 will NOT contain any singleplayer game modes.
Why is that? Because the creation of an AI that is capable of playing intelligent stones is very time intensive, therefor player vs. player matches will be available at the end of this year, the singleplayer mode will then be released later on.
Some screenshots showing the menu as well as ingame scences will be posted at the end of November, giving you the oppertunity to take a look at the design and graphics of the Curling game. In addition to the screenshots a game title will be selected and posted here in the middle of December. The project title "Curling" will then be history as the game recieves its final touches.
Every player can use his/her Black Dragons account to log into the game. You can then create multiple curling players, each with his/her own attributes including accuracy, strength and an overall level. The curling player will gain experience every time you play the game and each level you grow gives you points to spend on one of your attributes.
Apart from leveling up your character you will also have the opperunity to buy equiptment including brooms, shoes and clothing, some with a positive effect on your stats, others that are worth having just because of the looks.
Black Dragons Studios encourages everyone to take a look at a kind of game you cannot find anywhere else and hopes for numerous people to test the beta version.
